Kat Maconie is an award winning London footwear designer who has built an internationally recognised brand through her forward thinking, bold and conceptual designs.
Known for signature gold hardware details, block heels and strong prints, the brand has, in seven years, expanded from a small range of ballerinas designed in a tiny West London studio, to over 200 points of sale across 21 countries and has a thriving online shop.
Born in London, Kat Maconie worked at a number of fashion houses where she gained invaluable experience in design, manufacturing and development. In 2009, keen to forge her own creative signature, she launched her eponymous label and was immediately feted as a rising British star and in 2013 was named Drapers shoe designer of the year.
Kat Maconie has created catwalk shoes for Felder Felder, Roberta Einer, Ashley Williams, Teatum Jones and Fyodor Golan and collaborated with British high street giant Dune. British PM David Cameron invited Kat to join a small group of leading businessmen and women on a trip to South America to encourage trade between the UK and Brazil.
Fans of the brand include Ellie Goulding, Kiera Knightley, Pixie Lott, and Kat’s designs can be found on the pages of Wonderland, Vogue, Sunday Times Style and The Observer.
